Rustic & Random became an official retailer of Rethunk Junk Resin paint in January 2019. Since that time I have expanded to carry the full line in my booth at Gifts & Talents in historic downtown Forest City, NC.
What is Rethunk Junk?
- Rethunk Junk Resin Paint is a non-mineral based paint designed to paint cabinets and furniture, but will successfully paint wood, glass, metal, laminate, leather, fabric...pretty much anything you can think of. It is not chalk paint or milk paint and it never has to be waxed.
Do you really not have to sand?
- In most cases that answer is yes. Our PREP product is a cleaner/deglosser that dulls and prepares the surface so that the paint can adhere to it. Never skip this step unless you are painting raw wood. I also recommend using a scrubby pad to help with your cleaning and preparing.
Does RTJ have to be sealed?
- Not always. Tuff Top (sealer) is recommended for heavy use horizontal surfaces and all cabinetry.
How can I get color samples?
- You can message me directly for color samples.
- Paint Color charts are available in my booth at Gifts & Talents.
Can I mix custom colors?
- Absolutely. All Rethunk Junk Products work together and can be mixed for custom colors or layered for custom finishes. Just always remember to mix enough to complete your project.
Is it really so easy?
- YES. I have many many customers who have completed projects and could not believe how easy it is. I do recommend you watch some of the youtube videos before you start. I also recommend you start on a small piece to get the hang of it. And I'm always available to help coach you through it.
So.....how can I get this fabulous paint?
